I’ve been (obsessively) studying, practicing, applying and teaching the science of Tantric Yoga for over 15 years.
I believe that the Sun Salutation or Surya Namaskara, when practiced completely, is one of the most beneficial practices to come out of Tantric Yoga.
Compared to what most of us get in the average yoga class - a rushed sequence of poorly-taught backbends and made-up postures - this Tantric practice is much more complete, having a profound impact on the entire psycho-spiritual energetic system.
But the Sun Salutations sequences that are being taught in most yoga studios do not remotely achieve this.
I can recognize the feeling of a well-balanced or harmonized energy system, and I know how to apply Yoga practices to achieve it. This is just one reason why many call me a master cuer and sequencer. (I also refer to myself as a professional Simon Says-er.)
